If you have a very busy and active group of visitors leaving comments then you may not have the time. But if the comment was worth reading then the person leaving it deserves a response.

How To Not Get Listed or Read

I don’t have the time to look as much as I’d hoped so I really appreciate those of you who send me links to BDSM themed blogs. I only care that it is honest personal expression: not just a thinly veiled attempt at promoting junk sex sites.

Two things do inhibit my finding sites to add:

  1. There isn’t really any BDSM themed content. There’s nothing wrong with that but this isn’t a place for finding blogs about kittens and recipes.
  2. Low contrast design. I wish dark backgrounds had become popular. There’s a reason mainstream sites aren’t like that: they are harder to read. But the big sin is a lack of contrast. If you use a dark background color please make sure the font color is light enough. And don’t forget that web pages look different on different monitors. There are too many blogs for people to be willing to strain their eyes.

Fetish Meme

Short entries that serve two purposes:

  • To serve as inspirations for people who blog about bondage, BDSM, D/s, S&M but are having writer’s block.
  • A reduction to basic issues for people who are trying to think clearly about consensual erotic sadomasochism and power exchange for the first time.

10 Lovely Things About BDSM

I’ve tried to sum up what kink, fetish – owner worship – means in my life.

This effort is as much an attempt to help others sum up their feelings.

Doesn’t matter if you are Old Guard, Goth Domme, Lifestyle Master or Slave.

My hope is that you’ll publish your own list (or if you don’t write online you’ll leave your list as a comment).

I’d like to see this reach out to others, both dominant and submissive persons.

Female Orgasm Denial

Earth Sex in the 21st Century

Female Orgasm Denial is overwhelming the number one search term currently bringing visitors to BDSM Weblogs via search engines.

This surprised me. As power exchange folks go my impression of most “maledom / femsub” relationships is that chastity is usually fair limited and playful. Nothing compared to some of the Femdom stuff where ogasm denial is often quite prolonged.

Not that I claim to know a damn thing.

Directories

I do apologize for being remiss in not putting more time into this site. I’d foolishly thought kinky bloggers would be contacting me so I could include their blogs. With luck I’ll be able to allocate more to searching them out.

To compensate I’m going to be offering a few tips to fetish bloggers that I hope will give help them reach a larger audience.

You’ve probably created your own small neighborhood of likeminded folk through your blogroll or by joining some social blogging platform communities. That is only the smallest fraction of folks searching the web for insight and understanding of BDSM.

I’m going to suggest three places where I think it is worth your time to list your D/s or S&M blog.

These are the three directories where I’ve seen the most incoming traffic. Many directories won’t actually help, a few – because Google has no love for them – may even hurt.

The directories are:

The last is mine but it isn’t as if I’m going to make a penny from listing your site.

BDSM Blog Writing Help

While some of these help texts are framed in a “femdom” context much of risk aware sadomasochism and consensual erotic power exchange is universal and might serve as inspiration for any man or woman wanting to write about the role of BDSM in their personal lives.

While framed as questionnaires that is just a device to enable me to write concisely. There are no correct answers, just your own personal response.
