Solipsubmissive

To accuse a reflective, intelligent submissive person of “overthinking” is to misunderstand individual psychology. To confuse abstraction with particularity.

An extract from a fine post:

A curious thing happened to me, though, when recently presented with a misstep of which i was unaware until it was pointed out. i listened, processed the information, asked questions that helped me gain understanding of why what i had done was an actual transgression, and made explanations that demonstrated my understanding. i did this logically and without the panic that has, in the past, characterized such situations, brought on, no doubt, by a fear of failing.

What followed was just as astonishing. The incident was outlined and proclaimed forgotten, until such time as a similar misstep occurred. i expressed gratitude, and then — wonder of wonders — things slipped quite naturally back to a normal interaction.
